April 2021
The April 2021 Leadership Committee meeting featured presentations from:

Emergency Rental Assistance Updates
- Preservation Compact has been meeting with IHDA, City of Chicago and Cook County weekly to facilitate information sharing and coordination. As part of that effort, the Compact developed a unified webpage, chicookilrenthelp.org, with information about all three programs.
- Kristin Faust, Executive Director at the Illinois Housing Development Authority; Marisa Novara, Commissioner of the City of Chicago’s Department of Housing; and Susan Campbell, Planning and Development at the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development provided updates on the upcoming round of Emergency Rental Assistance programs.

- The Preservation Compact recently hosted two webinars:
- Emergency Rental Assistance and Utility Assistance webinar, which included presentations from the City, County, and State on upcoming rental assistance programs, and presentations from Illinois DCEO and Citizens Utility Board on current utility assistance programs.
- Preserving Owners to Preserve NOAH: Markets, People, and Strategies in Chicago and Los Angeles, which was a discussion between The Preservation Compact, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, and the City of Chicago Department of Housing about preserving Naturally Occurring Affordable Housing (NOAH).
