City Announces Energy Retrofit Effort with Compact Partners

The City of Chicago announced the third phase of its Retrofit Chicago program, the Residential Partnership. The effort brings together non-profits, utility companies, and city government programs to accelerate the number of retrofits in single family homes and multifamily buildings, which account for half of the city’s energy consumption.

Preservation Compact partners CNT Energy and Community Investment Corporation will join the City of Chicago, ComEd, Peoples Gas, and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning to retrofit 6,700 multifamily units in 12 targeted community areas. Read more at cityofchicago.org.
