City Approves Five-Year Housing Plan

The City of Chicago Department of Planning and Development five-year housing plan for 2014-2018, “Bouncing Back,” was approved by City Council this week. In addition to detailing how Chicago will provide a range of housing options in diverse neighborhoods, the City recommits to participating in The Preservation Compact’s Interagency Council, which brings together government agencies to coordinate preservation efforts.  The plan features many other preservation efforts the City will continue to support, including the redevelopment of 2- to 4-unit properties, energy retrofits, the Troubled Buildings Initiative, and the TIF Purchase Rehab Program. Download the five-year plan, “Bouncing Back.”
