Joint Center for Housing Studies Releases Rental Report

The Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard University released a new report on rental housing, America’s Rental Housing: Evolving Markets and Needs.  The report underscores the importance of rental preservation– half of all rental households in the U.S. are paying more than 30% of their income in rent. In the period between 2000 and 2012, median gross rents increased by 6% while median renter income decreased by 13%.
