Mayor Lightfoot Housing Leadership and Transition Report

As the Mayor Lightfoot administration begins, The Preservation Compact is thrilled to welcome and congratulate the new Department of Housing Commissioner, Marisa Novara, from Compact partner Metropolitan Planning Council! The Compact looks forward to working with Commissioner Novara and the new City leaders in the weeks and months ahead.

Mayor Lightfoot’s transition report features many notable initiatives, old and new. The Housing section (page 70) highlights preserving affordable rental, and includes a specific mention of working with The Preservation Compact to expand preservation strategies.
