Cost-burdened Renters Reach Record High

According to The State of the Nation’s Housing 2016 released by the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University, the number of cost-burdened renters – those paying more than 30 percent of their income for housing – reached a record high of 21.3 million in 2014 up from 20.8 million in 2013.
