HUD Rule Affecting Mixed Status Families – Comments due July 9

The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking that would prohibit families with any individuals who are not in eligible immigration status from living in public housing and Section 8 programs. Families with members who are deemed “ineligible” will be evicted from subsidized housing within 18 months.
