Keeping Your Class 9 Status Workshop – October 24!
Did your Class 9 appeal get rejected? Did your 2017 assessment increase? Attend our free workshop to learn more:
Keeping Your Class 9 Status
Tuesday, October 24th
222 South Riverside Plaza, 1st Floor Conference Center
Registration begins at 8:45 am
Owners of Class 9 properties:
Many multifamily rental owners saw 2017 assessments increase significantly when the Cook County Assessor’s Office changed their Class 9 status to Class 3 status. Unfortunately, nearly all appeals submitted were rejected – even with the submission of requested affidavits. Now the Assessor’s Office is requiring NEW affidavits – posted last week – to reinstate your Class 9 status.
What Can You Do?
Here are two actions you can take now:
1) Click here for a detailed list of steps you should take to insure that you retain your Class 9 status, and
2) Register to attend this free workshop on October 24.
Workshop Details:
The Preservation Compact is hosting another Class 9 Workshop with a representative from the Cook County Assessor’s Office to address questions about NEW affidavit requirements. (Please note: Assessor’s Office staff will NOT be on hand to complete affidavits for you.)
