New Property Tax Incentive

A property tax incentive championed by a dream advocacy team – Housing Action Illinois, Illinois Housing Council, MPC, and Enterprise Community Partners – was included in the landmark affordable housing omnibus that passed the Illinois General Assembly at the end of May.

This policy—which emerged from a Preservation Compact working group—is an important tool for preserving our vital stock of naturally occurring affordable housing in both low cost and higher cost neighborhoods.
