A Note from the Preservation Compact

Dear Preservation Compact Partners,

With great pride, I reflect on our dedicated work together over the past few years. As I depart from my position as Director of the Preservation Compact, I am confident that I am leaving it in a strong position to continue to carry out its crucial mission to preserve affordable rental housing.

One of the highlights of my time at the Compact has been the attainment of funding from the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation, marking a significant milestone as the first grant of its kind awarded outside of the west coast. This achievement enables the Compact and its partners at the DePaul Institute for Housing Studies to explore and examine NOAH preservation strategies across diverse market types nationwide. I am also proud of the Compact’s work to help implement innovative government initiatives to support local property owners and safeguard affordable housing.

Above all, I am immensely proud of the Compact’s unwavering commitment to collaboration, which has allowed us to foster strategic alliances and effect lasting change. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the Preservation Compact team, CIC leadership, the entire CIC staff, and the Compact Leadership Committee for their invaluable support throughout my time.   While my time at the Compact and CIC is coming to a close, please rest assured that the work of the Compact will continue. I wholeheartedly encourage you to stay in touch will me personally, as well as reach out to Compact staff with any questions or other thoughts.

Thank you once again for your partnership in creating and preserving affordable rental housing.

Warm regards,

Dunni Cosey Gay
