On Thursday August 24th the Preservation Compact, Community Investment Corporation (CIC), and the Cook County Assessor’s Office hosted a webinar all about the new multifamily property tax incentive! This program, called the Affordable Housing Special Assessment Program (AHSAP), is available across Cook County to provide property tax relief for multifamily housing owners.
If you are planning a renovation or new construction, have completed renovation since 2015, or are part of the Cook County Assessor’s Class 9 program you may qualify for AHSAP! During this webinar, panelists provided information about how the incentive works, how to qualify for the program, how to apply, and how to comply with the requirements of the program.
