The Preservation Compact Welcomes Dunni Cosey Gay!

The Compact is thrilled to announce Dunni Cosey Gay as the new Preservation Compact Director. Dunni is known for cultivating relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and finding creative and innovative solutions to mobilize projects.

Notably, Dunni coordinated outreach and communications for the County’s Emergency Rental and Utility Assistance program, which provided nearly $200 million in resources to support residents and housing providers impacted by the pandemic. Dunni has been integral to the Compact’s work convening government partners to collaborate weekly on the Emergency Rental Assistance programs resulting in more efficient and coordinated statewide rental housing and utility resources.

Dunni brings extensive experience in the public and nonprofit sectors, and recently served as the Deputy Director of Communications for the Cook County Bureau of Economic Development. While at the County, Dunni developed and implemented multimillion-dollar service-based programs for small businesses and residents while overseeing community outreach, marketing, and brand strategies for Cook County.

Dunni has also served in various roles at the Chicago Cook Workforce Partnership, and the Departments of Housing and Community/Planning and Development at the City of Chicago.

Dunni holds a BAS in Public Policy – Political Science from Chicago State University, an MBA from Columbia College Chicago, and is a proud UChicago Harris School of Public Policy’s Civic Leadership Academy alumni.
